New Rogers Deal Promises 1 Gigabit Internet

Rogers internet plans to make 1 gigabit internet speeds available to internet users in Toronto and GTA. This announcement was made by the company at an event in 2015. The innovative 1 gigabit package will be available for Toronto and GTA first followed by other regions. The company announced that the internet package will be available to millions of homes across Canada wherever Rogers internet service is available by the end of 2016.

At this point in time, Rogers Ignite Gigabit unlimited data internet package is available for $144.99/month. The package claims to deliver download speeds up to 1 GB/sec and upload speeds up to 30 MB/sec.

Rogers Communication has the most internet customers in the country. If you talk about the Canadian provinces with the fastest internet speeds, the Atlantic areas of the country mainly New Brunswick are leading in speed. Newfoundland and Labrador, the eastern most provinces take the second place.

Ontario the most populated province in Canada managed to grab the fourth spot and the internet speeds are led by the presence of Rogers Communications. Toronto, ON has the fastest internet speeds followed by Montreal and Ottawa.

Keep in mind that fast upload speeds are not available in all parts of the country. Another important thing to remember is that regions where faster uploads are available, they usually cost more than the usual internet connection.

The bottom line is that Rogers offers the fastest internet service in most regions. Furthermore, Rogers Wireless has made mobile devices capable of reaping the benefits of higher bandwidth, faster upload speeds and improved download speeds. Rogers offers the fastest download speeds in Canada i.e. 158.3 MB/sec according to the latest study.
