Fido Home Internet Vs Virgin Mobile Home Internet
Virgin Mobile is competing against Fido for the best home internet provider in Canada. The company is promoting two new internet plans on pre-sale today, which are available only to customers who have existing subscriptions for 6 months or more. There will be no hidden fees, no long-term contracts, and no installation fees according to Virgin Mobile’s website. The 300GB plan is available at $50 per month with a download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10Mbps. Exceeding data usage will be charged at $1/GB. The other one is an unlimited plan that costs $65/month. It offers the same download and upload speeds. The price and data limits of Virgin Mobile internet plans are at par with Fido’s except the latter offers download speed at 30Mbps and an upload speed at 5Mbps. The $50 and $65 internet plans Fido are limited to postpaid subscribers only. An additional $10 per month will be added for each plan if a customer is on a prepaid account, or is riding on another subscriber’s account. Virgin Mobile will eventually offer the same internet plans to the wider public though experts assess it will still take some months.
